Process Alerts
A process alert is a short note you put on one running process so nobody working on it can miss it. For example, “Client is disputing this invoice. Hold payment until Dana confirms.”
When a process has an alert, it shows in red:
- above the process diagram,
- above the task description whenever someone opens one of the process’s tasks,
- in an Alert column on your task lists and process lists.
When the alert is empty, nothing shows anywhere.
Add or change an alert from the diagram
Section titled “Add or change an alert from the diagram”- Open the process diagram.
- Open the menu in the top-right corner and click Process Settings.
- Type your alert in the Process alert box.
- Click the save icon at the top of the panel.
Add or change an alert from a task
Section titled “Add or change an alert from a task”- Open any task in the process.
- Under Additional Information, expand Process Alert.
- Type your alert in the Process alert box.
- Save the task, or complete it. The alert is saved at the same time.
The alert belongs to the whole process, not just the task you are on. Changing it from a task changes it everywhere.
Ask the AI Strategist
Section titled “Ask the AI Strategist”You can also ask the AI Strategist in chat, for example: “Put an alert on the Acme invoice process: hold payment until Dana confirms.” It reads the alert back to you and sets it once you confirm. It can remove an alert the same way, and it tells you about an alert when you ask what is going on with a process.
AI Employees running inside a process can read alerts but never set or change them.
Remove an alert
Section titled “Remove an alert”Clear all the text from the Process alert box and save. The red alert disappears from the diagram, the tasks, and the lists.
Formatting
Section titled “Formatting”Alerts support markdown, so you can add emphasis, lists, or links:
**Hold payment.** Client is disputing invoice #4471.- Call Dana before releasing funds- See the [dispute notes](https://example.com/dispute)In list columns the alert shows as a single line of plain text. Hover over it to read the whole alert.
