=FISCALYEAR
The =FISCALYEAR function evaluates a date and returns the fiscal year based on a specified fiscal year start month.
Syntax

FiscalYearStartMonthNumber
- The month number (1–12) that the fiscal year begins (e.g., 9 for September).

DateToEvaluate
- The date used to determine the fiscal year.
How It Works
Section titled “How It Works”-
Determines whether the given date falls before or after the fiscal year start month.

Returns the calendar year in which the fiscal year begins.

If the date occurs before the fiscal year start month, the fiscal year is the previous calendar year.
Usage Notes

Dates must be provided in a valid date format (YYYY-MM-DD recommended).

The fiscal year start month must be between 1 and 12.

Formula functions are case sensitive and must be written in ALL CAPS.
