=DATEROUND

The =DATEROUND Function allows you to round a date or time to the nearest interval.

=DATEROUND(UnitToRoundTo; IntervalNum; DateToRound)
  • UnitToRoundTo

    • The unit to round to: minute, hour, or day.
  • IntervalNum

    • The number representing the interval of the unit you want to round to (e.g., 15 minutes, 6 hours).
  • DateToRound

    • The date or time value to be rounded.
  • Evaluates the provided date or time.

  • Rounds the value to the nearest multiple of the specified unit and interval.

  • Supports rounding for minutes, hours, or days depending on the unit selected.

  • Only valid date or time values are supported.

  • Formula functions are case sensitive and must be in all caps.

  • Useful for aligning times to standard intervals for reporting or scheduling.

=DATEROUND(minute; 15; 12:20 PM)
// Returns: 12:15 PM
=DATEROUND(minute; 30; 12:20 PM)
// Returns: 12:30 PM
=DATEROUND(hour; 6; 12:23 PM)
// Returns: 12:00 PM
