Running Processes
Launching a template creates a process instance - a live run with real tasks assigned to real people. Each instance is tracked independently, so you always know where every run stands.
Launching a process
Section titled “Launching a process”- Find the template you want to run (in the Templates area or from the Processes list).
- Launch it. ProcessPlan creates the process and assigns the first tasks according to the template.
- The people responsible are notified of their tasks and can start working immediately.
Tracking progress
Section titled “Tracking progress”Open any running process to see its current state:
- Task list - every task in the process, its assignee, and its status.
- Diagram view - the same process as a flow chart. A progress heat map highlights where the process currently is and which steps are complete, making bottlenecks easy to spot. See Process Diagrams.
Completing a process
Section titled “Completing a process”A process finishes when its tasks are complete. The record of the run - who did what and when - is retained, giving you an audit trail and the data to improve the template for next time.
