Failing to Plan is Planning to Fail

A wise individual once said, “failing to plan is planning to fail”. I know it’s cliche, but this quote is true in life and in ProcessPlan. ProcessPlan makes it easy to map out your process by just clicking and dragging, but what you are clicking and dragging is far more important. Taking the time to really think about your process and what you want to accomplish will help you get the most out of your ProcessPlan experience. Don’t be afraid to sketch ideas on a whiteboard or a piece of paper before drawing your template in ProcessPlan. Don’t worry about messing up because you can easily edit the process template if you come across a new step in the process or a more efficient way to do things. Think of this initial planning time as “helping out your future self”, as one of my coworkers puts it. Sitting down to plan out your process sounds like it could take up a lot of time, but you should consider it an investment! If you take the time to plan it out and make sure you have a solid template, you will save time on the backend because you won’t have to spend time fixing things that went wrong. You save time training employees because they now have a solid plan in place and a system that makes sure they follow that plan correctly every time. Now that you spend less time putting out fires and training, you can help your business grow!
